I’ve been building websites for several years. Early on, I taught myself HTML coding “by hand”, but most of my experience has been with commercial platforms such as SquareSpace, Wordpress, and proprietary systems. Professionally, I’ve worked in online e-commerce product management for many years, with a strong focus on User Experience design - ensuring that a website is designed for the people that use it - so it’s easy to navigate and understand, looks professional, and easily allows people to do what you want them to do on the site.

I’ve worked at smaller agencies (Purple Monkey Studios, Siren Interactive), and large corporations (Thomson Financial, Sears Holdings), and I have strong experience with small businesses, non-profits, and large enterprise systems. More recently, I’ve pivoted into a solo website design career, focusing on small businesses, artists and non-profits. Even after all these years, I still love making websites!

I design exclusively in Squarespace now because I believe it is easily the best web design platform for most small businesses and creative entrepreneurs. Squarespace is the ideal hybrid solution of excellent design, killer technology, seamless marketing, and ease of use, all at a decent price. I’ve been designing Squarespace websites for a few years now, and based on my experience, I have recently become a Squarespace Circle member, which allows me to offer client discounts, among other benefits.

On the personal side, I’m an artist, a parent, a volunteer for various conservation efforts, an animal lover, rescue dog parent, and a small business owner too, so I understand most of the challenges my clients face — and I can help you solve your problems because usually I have faced something very similar myself.
