Using AI in Squarespace
Squarespace launches new and useful features fairly frequently and sometimes it’s hard to keep track of them all! Recently I noticed a little lightening bolt as part of the edit text box, and wondered what it was. I clicked on it and discovered a new AI powered feature to help you write copy for your website.

It works much like Chat GPT and can be a good tool for creating placeholder text, or for creating outlines, maybe. I feel ambivalent about using AI to create content - I like easy, but I value judgement and thought, which Squarespace’s AI doesn’t have yet - it’s a very stilted language learning model that may or may not be accurate. I’ll continue to play with it, but will not be using it to create my content, yet.
